npm run i18n now also lists, and fails on, markup text and title /
aria-label / placeholder without data-i18n*, and string literals that reach
the page (textContent, innerHTML, setAttribute, toasts, label:/title:
properties and similar) without t(), tn() or msg(). Opt-outs say why where
the text lives: translate="no" and data-i18n-runtime in markup,
// i18n-ignore in code. src/tools/ is skipped: its text is for AI clients.
534 places are reported today; npm test does not run this part yet.

Both panels landed after the original string extraction, so they rendered
English in every locale. Mark their markup and runtime text (status, SINCE
stops, provider tooltips, coverage meta, viewer captions, draw hints and
colours), the layer-list names kept in PANEL_LABELS, and add 90 es and ru
entries. Street Level is «Уличные снимки» / «A pie de calle».

The slider labels (Sensitivity, Bloom, Pixelation, …) live in the shader
modules and were rendered raw, so they stayed English in every locale.
Mark them with msg() and render them through t(); add es and ru entries.
WHOT/BHOT and Ironbow keep their names. Russian Bloom is now «Свечение».

- An open after a failed one is no longer failed by the old panorama's
status: only status_changed can reject; position_changed only resolves.
- A nearest lookup aborted, timed out or refused while Google's script
loads no longer sends its getPanorama request once the script arrives.
- A panorama-details lookup that never answers times out after 10 s,
cools down and retries; an unmount releases lookups in flight, and
their late answers are dropped.
- Every Maps loader on a page shares one script load and ready callback,
and either can retry a failed script.
- OPEN STREET VIEW aimed at the sky opens nothing and says to aim at a
street, instead of looking up the camera footprint.

The Catalonia feed has no camera status field, so an offline camera keeps
its catalog entry and SCT or Barcelona answer its frame with their own
"image unavailable" still (HTTP 200). Say so in DATA_SOURCES.md and stop
the loader comment from implying every camera returns a live frame.

Register es next to ru (selector shows EN | ES | RU) and complete the
catalog against the current English: the 13 messages added since #602,
the "many" plural form Intl.PluralRules('es') selects for exact millions,
and fixes where the English had changed (e.g. "hace hace" in LIVE ·
updated, minutes written as metres). Terminology made consistent (buque,
aeronave, incendio activo); key names stay in English. Meir's wording is
kept everywhere else. Adds docs/translations/es.md.

Conflicts with upstream's Street Level provider composition and share-state
codec, resolved:
- Street View's switch moves from its own share option (`g`) to upstream's
provider-switch field (`r`, e.g. `0.r.google-1`); a link without it keeps
Street View off. Docs and the browser gate follow.
- createApplicationStreetLevel keeps upstream's injectable provider list;
its default, once the application supplies its Street Level source, is
Mapillary plus Google Street View. Without that source there are none, as
upstream intends.
- The coverage hint keeps upstream's empty-composition message and joins
every switched-on provider's hint otherwise.
- CHANGELOG, README and SECURITY keep both sides' entries.

Meir Michanie's Spanish translation from #602 (9d69e11, 4ba5d69), converted
to the English-keyed format: one entry per English message in
src/i18n/locales/es.json, translations unchanged. Also carries the es-only
CCTV control-row wrap rule.

Replace the semantic keys with the English source text, so code reads as the
UI does and English needs no catalog: t('Save keys'), tn(count, one, other)
for plurals, msg() for text stored in data, and bare data-i18n* markup that
translates the element's own English. Other languages are one flat JSON each.
- Simplify src/i18n: drop namespaces, the configurable locale pair
(GEV_DEFAULT_LOCALE / GEV_SECONDARY_LOCALE) and its build defines. Locale
comes from ?lang=, the stored choice, then browser languages.
- Add scripts/i18n.mjs (npm run i18n): extracts every message from t/tn/msg
and markup, and fails on missing, unused, placeholder-mismatched or
wrongly-shaped plural entries. npm test runs it via catalog.test.mjs.
- Add Russian (src/i18n/locales/ru.json, 833 messages), started from the
community catalog in #312 and reviewed against the current English.
- Fix data-i18n placed on parents that would wipe their children (cockpit
LEVEL and local weather cells, first-run EXPLORE MANUALLY tile), and a
doubled degree sign in the TRACK ACQUIRED signal.
- Rewrite docs/TRANSLATORS.md for the new workflow; drop sections the earlier
merge resurrected in docs/CURRENT-STATE.md.

A KMZ could name one large packed image in thousands of <href>s, and each
one made a fresh Blob copy for Cesium to decode. kmzImageResolver now keeps

Cesium reads it.

The three mutation gates matched source text that has since moved or been
reflowed, so 37 of their 108 reverts reported STALE and could no longer
prove anything:
- qa-floorhold-mutations (2): the neighbour-floor code moved from
src/data/groundFloor.js into src/services/groundFloor.js (ac977bd).
- qa-flyroute-mutations (8): src/cameraVerbs.js was reflowed by the
formatter (2aca7ae); the anchors now match the formatted lines.
- qa-firstrun-mutations (27): the launcher markup, styles and startup moved
to src/ui/templates/welcome.html, src/ui/styles/first-run.css and
src/app/startupChrome.js; the rail default to panelPositionControls.js and
the radio ESC handling to radioBindings.js (a67bc60 and follow-ups). The
tool-schema pin now edits a tool description, since the context-mode enum
it used to edit no longer lives in tools.js.
Every revert still reintroduces the same defect. Results: floor-hold 22/22,
fly_route 19/19, first-run 67/67 caught, with all source files restored.

Voice leaves aircraft_in_area and vessels_in_area out, so the changelog no
longer suggests spoken questions gain breakdowns. It also stops leading with
operators, which the default civil feed never reports.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
OpenSky, the default civil feed, reports no operator or type code, so a
breakdown by either put every aircraft under unknown while the summary said
nothing. The summary now says "no operator reported" in that case, and
otherwise appends the unknown count after the largest groups.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
aircraft_in_area and vessels_in_area return at most 200 rows, so a client
asked which operators dominate an area, or the average altitude there, could
only estimate from a truncated sample. Both tools now take an optional
group_by (aircraft: operator, origin_country, type_code; ships: type,
destination) and stats (airborne altitude and speed for aircraft, speed for
ships). Each is computed over every match before rows are capped. Breakdowns
list the ten largest groups plus other and unknown counts, and the summary
names the three largest.

The Path 3 section assumed readers already knew how a bind-mounted container
persists state (14traits, #208). It now lists what the app saves and where,
with the NAS and reverse-proxy detail in the collapsed block that was already
there, so the open part stays about the same length.
It also fixes two commands that did not do what they said in bash, confirmed
in bash and dash by PoBruno: `UID=1026 GID=100 docker compose up` prints
"UID: readonly variable" and still runs as the caller's UID, and
`export UID GID` exports an empty GID because bash does not define one. Both
are now `env UID=... GID=...`, which `docker compose config` resolves to the
requested ids.

Two findings from PoBruno's Docker Engine on Linux run (#208), and one from
re-running the suite in the container after rebasing:
- The launcher pinned its own allowedHosts, including '.local'. Vite reads a
leading dot as a suffix match, so `Host: anything.local` reached the page and
the data proxies. Main has since moved the policy into build/allowedHosts.js,
which drops suffix entries on purpose and applies before the app's routes, so
the launcher's override is deleted rather than patched. As a side effect
GEV_ALLOWED_HOSTS now also works from `.env`, as it does under `npm run dev`.
- A checkout the container cannot write - typically a clone made as root on a
NAS or Proxmox host - made Save Keys answer 500 and never created .gev-cache,
with nothing logged. The launcher now warns at start, naming the owner, the
ids it runs as, and the two fixes.
- On Docker Desktop the bind-mounted repo always shows an owner other than the
container user, so git refuses it as "dubious ownership" and the tests that
shell out to git fail (src/data/bundledJson.test.mjs, new on main). The image
now marks /app, and only /app, as a safe directory.
Verified in a container on this base: `anything.local` 403 on the page and on
/api routes, localhost 200, GEV_ALLOWED_HOSTS honoured from the environment and
from .env, the warning on a root-owned /app run as 1000:1000, and
bundledJson.test.mjs 6/6.

Docker delivers the host's own browser to the container from the container
network's gateway, never from 127.0.0.1, so the loopback-only admission gate
answered every POWER UP request with 403 and no key could be saved. The README
and CHANGELOG claimed otherwise; both are corrected here.
- keySetupCore: GEV_KEY_SETUP_TRUSTED_PEERS, an exact-address list (no
wildcards, prefixes or hostnames) admitted alongside loopback. Unset trusts
nothing, and the sharing, Host, Origin, Content-Type and proxy-header checks
all still apply to a listed address. Twelve assertions pin each refusal.
- scripts/docker-start.mjs: the container entry point, shaped after
scripts/pinokio-start.mjs. It reads the default gateway from /proc/net/route,
trusts exactly that address, and starts Vite. No gateway (--network none)
trusts nothing. The pure helpers are unit-tested and a contract test pins the
Dockerfile CMD and the loopback-only publish.
- Dockerfile: install git. `npm test` builds fixtures with `git init`, so the
suite failed 71 tests inside the image and the README's claim that it runs in
the container was wrong.
- SECURITY.md and .env.example document the setting and why it is safe only
behind a 127.0.0.1 publish; README gains the Linux/NAS id note and .dockerignore
drops macOS AppleDouble sidecars, both reported on the PR.
Verified in Docker on a clean build: saving a key from the panel writes the
bind-mounted .env (0600 in the container), it survives `compose down`/`up`, and
REMOVE comments it back out. A foreign Origin, a foreign Host, a proxy header
and a sibling container on the same network are each refused. `npm run doctor`,
`npm test` (5067 passed, 1 skipped, 0 failed) and `npm run build` are green
inside the container.

Vite's dev server is the whole app here — it serves the client and runs every
API proxy as middleware — so one container running `npm run dev` covers it, and
HOST/PORT are already env-driven.
Three details are deliberate:
- The port publishes to 127.0.0.1. Docker's usual "4173:4173" binds every host
interface, which would silently make the README's LAN warning the default for
a server that brokers configured provider keys.
- The repo is bind-mounted, so keys saved from Provider Settings, .gev-cache
and .gev-logs persist on the host exactly as they do under `npm run dev`.
node_modules stays in the image so a host install cannot shadow the
Linux-built native deps.
- The container runs as the host user, since everything it writes lands in
that bind mount. Vite's dep optimizer still needs to write inside the image's
node_modules, hence the two loosened directories.
Puppeteer's Chromium download is skipped: it is only needed by `npm run
test:track`, which the README points at the host.
