From the re-shot Russian screenshots:
- Translated: weather frame/imagery status errors, HUD summary provenance
("НЕДОСТУПНО: СУДА AIS ОНЛАЙН"), Bhote Koshi map labels, cockpit signal
distances (КМ). The HUD summary fields are separated with " · " in every
language, so the style name and view band no longer read as one phrase.
- Numbers follow the locale: cockpit altitude ("26 175"), precipitation.
- No breaks inside codes and dates: ADS-B and similar in layer rows,
Sentinel-2, cyclone issue dates (word joiner; the UI font has no U+2011),
no-break space after label colons in cyclone details.
- Layout: count lines under ALPR, short unavailable chip (context
"status chip"), roomier draw segments, tighter CCTV calibration chips,
two-line beat titles and media card titles, wrapping weather status.
- Wording: ru advisory is «сводка» (was «бюллетень»; "Advisory center" is
«Центр циклона по сводке»), Street View is «Просмотр улиц», OPACITY
«НЕПРОЗР.», synced «синхр.», Area «Зона»; the import dialog no longer says
"this scene" for several scenes. Glossary updated.

A review of the Russian UI screenshots found ~90 places where longer words
broke the layout or text was still English. Fixed so they hold for any
language, then shortened where a control is short by design.
- Layout: label columns that size to their text (weather and wind settings,
Recent Imagery slots and opacity, style sliders, display panel), layer
list names and icons, buttons that wrap instead of overflowing (CCTV,
scenes, Bhote Koshi), voice header that always shows the cost, styled
EN | ES | RU chips, voice error tray above the dock.
- t() context: t('CLEAR', { context: 'action' }) is «СБРОСИТЬ» while the sky
stays «ЯСНО»; also used for radio categories, voice states and directions.
- Units and dates follow the locale through src/ui/unitLabels.js
(formatQuantity: localized number, translated unit, non-breaking space):
wind, pressure, cyclones, directions, CCTV, SDR gain, scene timing, flight
tooltip, Recent Imagery dates and resolution.
- Newly translated: directions turn-by-turn steps (built from the maneuver;
English matches the server word for word), HUD mode and summary, voice
card states, radio categories on the globe, CCTV status, layer source
lines, scene dialogs (Cancel, file pickers), Bhote Koshi statuses, titles,
comparison dates and caveat, Recent Imagery notices. Stored data and text
for AI tools stay English.
- es and ru: 1,885 messages each.

Mark every UI string the unmarked-text check reported (534) plus text it
cannot see (helpers, joined labels, runtime-built panels), and translate
the result to Spanish and Russian: 1,679 messages each.
- Kept on purpose, with the reason where the text lives: provider and
product names, place and camera names, codes and units, dB values, the HUD
terminal readouts, demo shot titles that saved projects look up by title,
and text for AI tools and the voice model.
- Modules shared with the server or AI tools stay free of the i18n import
(local msg); the wind reading and voice session stay English and are
translated where the page shows them.
- npm test now runs the unmarked-text check.
- Fixes on the way: a duplicated radio privacy paragraph, the contact panel
toggle saying Expand while open, the CSS filter mistaking & for CSS.

npm run i18n now also lists, and fails on, markup text and title /
aria-label / placeholder without data-i18n*, and string literals that reach
the page (textContent, innerHTML, setAttribute, toasts, label:/title:
properties and similar) without t(), tn() or msg(). Opt-outs say why where
the text lives: translate="no" and data-i18n-runtime in markup,
// i18n-ignore in code. src/tools/ is skipped: its text is for AI clients.
534 places are reported today; npm test does not run this part yet.

Both panels landed after the original string extraction, so they rendered
English in every locale. Mark their markup and runtime text (status, SINCE
stops, provider tooltips, coverage meta, viewer captions, draw hints and
colours), the layer-list names kept in PANEL_LABELS, and add 90 es and ru
entries. Street Level is «Уличные снимки» / «A pie de calle».

The slider labels (Sensitivity, Bloom, Pixelation, …) live in the shader
modules and were rendered raw, so they stayed English in every locale.
Mark them with msg() and render them through t(); add es and ru entries.
WHOT/BHOT and Ironbow keep their names. Russian Bloom is now «Свечение».

Register es next to ru (selector shows EN | ES | RU) and complete the
catalog against the current English: the 13 messages added since #602,
the "many" plural form Intl.PluralRules('es') selects for exact millions,
and fixes where the English had changed (e.g. "hace hace" in LIVE ·
updated, minutes written as metres). Terminology made consistent (buque,
aeronave, incendio activo); key names stay in English. Meir's wording is
kept everywhere else. Adds docs/translations/es.md.

Meir Michanie's Spanish translation from #602 (9d69e11, 4ba5d69), converted
to the English-keyed format: one entry per English message in
src/i18n/locales/es.json, translations unchanged. Also carries the es-only
CCTV control-row wrap rule.

Replace the semantic keys with the English source text, so code reads as the
UI does and English needs no catalog: t('Save keys'), tn(count, one, other)
for plurals, msg() for text stored in data, and bare data-i18n* markup that
translates the element's own English. Other languages are one flat JSON each.
- Simplify src/i18n: drop namespaces, the configurable locale pair
(GEV_DEFAULT_LOCALE / GEV_SECONDARY_LOCALE) and its build defines. Locale
comes from ?lang=, the stored choice, then browser languages.
- Add scripts/i18n.mjs (npm run i18n): extracts every message from t/tn/msg
and markup, and fails on missing, unused, placeholder-mismatched or
wrongly-shaped plural entries. npm test runs it via catalog.test.mjs.
- Add Russian (src/i18n/locales/ru.json, 833 messages), started from the
community catalog in #312 and reviewed against the current English.
- Fix data-i18n placed on parents that would wipe their children (cockpit
LEVEL and local weather cells, first-run EXPLORE MANUALLY tile), and a
doubled degree sign in the TRACK ACQUIRED signal.
- Rewrite docs/TRANSLATORS.md for the new workflow; drop sections the earlier
merge resurrected in docs/CURRENT-STATE.md.

- keySetup.unlocks.openai follows the registry's new wording
('API key or ChatGPT OAuth')
- add keySetup.unlocks.mapillary for the new Mapillary client-token key
- add vision.styleNameAnime/styleNameSnow for the new anime/snow cockpit
vision modes
- add layers.meta.dataSourceUnavailable for the unavailable-layer tooltip
fallback introduced upstream
Doctor and dev-fresh told every user without an OpenAI key that voice could
use ChatGPT OAuth, whether or not Codex was installed. Say voice is off
until a key is added or a Codex sign-in is selected, and mark that path
experimental.
The login child inherited the whole server environment, including
OPENAI_API_KEY and every other provider credential. Pass only what Codex
needs to find its home, open a browser and reach OpenAI through a proxy.
Voice-card captions from main priced transcription usage into the API-key
dollar meter. In a ChatGPT OAuth session that could trip the $2 warning or
$5 cap while the readout said COST UNKNOWN. Count them with the session's
other OAuth usage instead.
A tile whose terrain lookup cast some lines kept castRequested set, so a
later refresh skipped it and the lines that failed stayed draped over
trees and roofs until the tile was rebuilt. A refresh now retries any tile
with lines still draped, and redraws it only when more of its lines can be
cast, so a tile that cannot be cast fully costs a cache check, not a
rebuild, per refresh. castRequested still stops the redraw from casting
again at once.

Fixesbilawalsidhu/gods-eye-view#927. Each stdio MCP server made its own
random panel key, and panel_request accepts only the key in the panel
page. A client that starts two server processes for one connection and
reads the page from one while sending the page's requests to the other
(seen in Claude Desktop on Windows) therefore always got "Only the God's
Eye View panel may make this request".
The stdio entry now passes a key shared by the install, created once in
.gev-cache/mcp-panel-key. The file is staged 0600 and published with
link(), so processes starting together agree on one key and never read a
half-written one. If it cannot be stored, the process keeps a key of its
own, as before. createLocalMcpServer still makes a fresh key unless given
one, so in-process servers (the /mcp HTTP plugin, tests) are unchanged.

- A photo takes a deferred navigation ticket when it starts opening
(begin/reassert, the application's _beginDeferredNavigation and
_reassertNavigationHandoff) and frames only if that ticket still owns
the camera once loaded, so a slow photo no longer flies the camera back
over newer navigation or clears newer aircraft tracking.
- A failed mesh refresh keeps the last good sample and the distance it was
taken from, and is retried after the miss cooldown, instead of recording
the failed distance and never refreshing again.

- A floating portable panel saved its measured box, so dragging a
collapsed window stored its 50 px header strip and a reload clamped it
to the minimum. It now saves the inline size the user chose. A unit
test and a collapse -> drag -> reload -> expand step in the panel gate
pin it.
- Coverage awaits the tile fetch and the one-time terrain table load
together, so a tile that fails before the table loads is reported at
once instead of surfacing as an unhandled rejection.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
- Photo framing and FOLLOW claim the camera through the application's
navigation, injected with attachNavigation({ run, subscribeHandoff }):
aircraft and satellite tracking is released first, the cockpit refuses,
and FOLLOW stops when another feature takes the camera. No UI imports
in the layer.
- The mesh sampler follows the mesh floor's rules: it waits for the
visible tileset to finish streaming (visibleTilesetLoaded, now exposed
by the mesh floor service), needs a real bare-earth prior and keeps to
the shared meshFloorSampleWithinPrior window, which cameraFollow now
uses too. A cell is probed again once the camera is half as far from
it (down to 40 m), so a coarse early sample is replaced and redrawn.
- The MCP globe panel's CSP allows the Mapillary Graph API and its image
CDN (https://*.xx.fbcdn.net).
- The tile proxy reads bodies with the shared readResponseBytesCapped.

Trim the doc text this PR adds (README, CHANGELOG, CURRENT-STATE,
KNOWN-ISSUES, SECURITY, DATA_SOURCES, .env.example, the CI job comment),
drop code comments that restate the code, cut design-note JSDoc to a line
or two, and drop review tags from test names. Comments only; no code
changes.
Also: README key count (seven keys, two metered), CURRENT-STATE's gate
paragraph (CI runs a production build with a dummy token), the stacked
doc above meshBoxInRange and the orphaned inMeshRange line in
coverage.js, and a duplicate ALPR row in DATA_SOURCES that a merge had
brought back.

The fleet draws a grounded contact at its delayed position lifted onto the floor under it, but a new billboard was created at the delayed position without that lift. A taxiing aircraft whose reported fix sat lower than the ground under its delayed position started on the fix's floor and then rose on the next fleet tick. Creation now applies the same floor the fleet pass does.
The military fleet also renders behind real time and projects a fresh contact's first fix back to that delayed time, but its billboard was created at the raw fix. A new contact therefore appeared ahead of where the next fleet tick put it and jumped back. The snapshot renderer now receives the layer's motion and creates the billboard at the dead-reckoned delayed position.
The fleet renders behind real time, so a newly seen aircraft is displayed at its fix projected back to that delayed time. Its billboard was created at the raw fix instead, so it appeared ahead of where the next fleet tick put it and then jumped back about one render delay of travel before moving forward.
