quanticsoul4772 cd7e29c635 Merge branch 'main' into upstream/cctv-tarktee-refresh 2026-10-19 05:34:17 -07:00
quanticsoul4772andClaude Opus 5.5 5b12f51e98 fix(cctv): warn once per failed background refresh; test the single flight
Attach the background-refresh warning where the refresh starts, so a
failed refresh logs once instead of once per request served meanwhile.
The test now checks that requests during a refresh share it, and turns
the hang off before releasing the fetches so a retrying loader can't
stall it.

quanticsoul4772andClaude Opus 5.5 f26586bb3e fix(cctv): serve the camera catalog while it refreshes
An expired catalog made every /api/cctv request (camera list and frames)
wait for the full refresh, which lasts as long as the slowest of the live
packs: Tarktee's DATEX feeds took 2 to 16.6 s across ten requests. With
Tarktee's timeout raised to 30 s, that wait could reach 30 s at each
15-minute refresh. The cached list is now returned while a single-flight
refresh replaces it in the background; only a first load, with nothing
to serve, waits. A background refresh that throws is logged.

quanticsoul4772andClaude Opus 5.5 6b3f7a3ec1 fix(cctv): give Tarktee's slow DATEX feeds 30 s instead of the shared 15 s
The Estonian Transpordiamet feeds answered in 2 to 16.6 s across ten
requests (120 and 160 KB), and both must arrive for any camera to load,
so the shared 15 s catalog timeout dropped the whole pack on about a
third of loads ("Tarktee DATEX download error: The operation was aborted
due to timeout"), for the 15 minutes until the next catalog refresh.
TARKTEE_FETCH_TIMEOUT_MS gives the two requests 30 s; other packs keep
15 s.

Live: 175 cameras in 3.3 s.

quanticsoul4772andClaude Opus 5.5 83b9940733 docs(cctv): Ontario 511 docs match the key requirement and the developer agreement
Review fixes for #1228: CURRENT-STATE.md and the constants comment no
longer call Ontario 511 keyless. DATA_SOURCES.md notes Ontario 511's
Developer's Access Agreement (511on.ca/developers/resources): the data
stays under the Open Government Licence - Ontario, key requests are
reviewed case by case, attribution by link is encouraged and the logo
rules don't apply because the app shows none, and the "as is" disclaimer
should be passed on, which the credit now does.

quanticsoul4772andClaude Opus 5.5 91461381ee fix(cctv): point a rejected Ontario key at ONTARIO_511_API_KEY; README notes the key
A wrong or revoked key logged only "download failed: 400"; a 400, 401 or
403 now adds "(check ONTARIO_511_API_KEY)". The README's CCTV row listed
Ontario among the default cameras with no mention of the key it now
needs.

quanticsoul4772andClaude Opus 5.5 fa085cbd64 docs(cctv): point to the 511on.ca pages that exist for the Ontario key
511on.ca/developers is a 404. Sign up at 511on.ca/my511/register, then
request the key while logged in at 511on.ca/developers/doc (both checked).

quanticsoul4772andClaude Opus 5.5 48c8a64c97 fix(cctv): Ontario 511 cameras take the developer key the API now requires
The Ontario 511 camera list answered 400 "Invalid Key" on every catalog load
("[CCTV] Ontario 511 camera download failed: 400"), so the pack loaded
nothing. 511on.ca's developer docs now say the API "Requires a developer
key" (free, from 511on.ca/developers; 10 calls a minute). The loader reads
ONTARIO_511_API_KEY and sends it as `key`; without it the pack is skipped
with one log line instead of a failed request on every load. The key is
never logged. .env.example and DATA_SOURCES no longer call the endpoint
keyless.

quanticsoul4772 3c3ea269a9 fix(setup): stop Node's DEP0190 warning when npm runs on Windows (#1057)
Windows runs npm.cmd through a shell, and passing an argument array with `shell: true` is deprecated in Node 24 (DEP0190). Every `npm run doctor` and every Pinokio install on Windows printed the warning. npmProcessSpec now takes the npm arguments and, on Windows, joins them into the command string; the arguments are fixed subcommands (`--version`, `ci`). Unix behavior is unchanged.

quanticsoul4772andSameh Khamis e50bc45674 fix(qa): run the macOS-only gates on Windows and Linux (#1061)
Seven QA scripts hard-coded macOS Google Chrome. They now share chromeExecutablePath(): PUPPETEER_EXECUTABLE_PATH when set, then macOS Chrome when installed, otherwise Puppeteer's managed browser. The cables screenshot path is built with fileURLToPath so it works on Windows. qa-overlay-baseline keeps its fixed Chrome because its baselines record the executable.

quanticsoul4772andSameh Khamis 4cacd4cc00 fix(qa): exit QA gates gracefully on Windows (#1064)
process.exit(2) after a successful fetch trips a libuv assertion on Windows and turns the exit code into 127. The four gates set process.exitCode and return instead, and discard the unread reachability response so an early exit does not wait for the server to finish the body.

quanticsoul4772andSameh Khamis 91ac5c1190 test(codex): match the installed-executable stub on Windows (#997)
The test's access stub matched a forward-slash suffix, so on Windows the resolver's backslash path never matched and it fell back to PATH. The stub and the expected value now use the same path.join result. The Windows CI job also runs this test file now.

quanticsoul4772andClaude Opus 5.5 123bf55f39 fix(qa): repoint stale mutation anchors after the September refactors
The three mutation gates matched source text that has since moved or been
reflowed, so 37 of their 108 reverts reported STALE and could no longer
prove anything:

- qa-floorhold-mutations (2): the neighbour-floor code moved from
  src/data/groundFloor.js into src/services/groundFloor.js (ac977bd).
- qa-flyroute-mutations (8): src/cameraVerbs.js was reflowed by the
formatter (2aca7ae); the anchors now match the formatted lines.
- qa-firstrun-mutations (27): the launcher markup, styles and startup moved
  to src/ui/templates/welcome.html, src/ui/styles/first-run.css and
src/app/startupChrome.js; the rail default to panelPositionControls.js and
the radio ESC handling to radioBindings.js (a67bc60 and follow-ups). The
tool-schema pin now edits a tool description, since the context-mode enum
it used to edit no longer lives in tools.js.

Every revert still reintroduces the same defect. Results: floor-hold 22/22,
fly_route 19/19, first-run 67/67 caught, with all source files restored.
