Choosing a language in the picker now applies it at once. The choice is
stored and ?lang is kept in step through replaceState, and the picker keeps
focus.
Code that writes translated text itself re-presents it on a switch:
onLocaleChange() lets an owner listen, removed at teardown, and status
writers hand over a function of the locale (voice cards, scene director,
SDR, draw hints, imagery split, map sources, Bhote Koshi media) so the
words are rebuilt rather than re-sent. The HUD, cockpit, radio, CCTV,
launch, awareness and credit texts follow the same hook, and
applyDocumentTranslations can be applied again without undoing text code
wrote since.
The unsaved-work registry and persistLocaleAndReload existed only to guard
the reload, so they go, with their catalog entries.
The Bhote Koshi layer keeps its panel controls as plain records and
presents them to a store; the context rail renders the panel as its last
child and marks itself while it is on. Controls are bound to the enable
that published them, and an unchanged frame is not sent again.
- Translate the remaining 910 strings and review the whole catalog (meaning,
terms, punctuation, label length) against the screens.
- Register zh-CN: any zh tag maps to it except Traditional ones (Hant, TW,
HK, MO), which keep English until a Traditional catalog ships.
- Hemisphere letters get their own context so the HUD sector line reads
21.33N, not a compass word; the Bhote Koshi imagery dates follow
year-first languages (2021年10月16日).
- cjk.css: tight tracking for Chinese text and a 9px floor on the dock voice
labels and layer buttons; Latin HUD readouts keep their look.
- docs/translations/zh-CN.md: style, plurals and glossary.

- i18n scanner: lastError sink, no false sinks on defaults and ternaries
- shared src/i18n/marker.js for modules that only mark strings
- wind field messages move to wind/fields.js; CITY_POIS imports from cityPois.js
- drop review IDs, change history and stale references from comments and docs

Fixes the 51 P0–P2 findings from the full review of the i18n branch and
the issues found while checking every new string on screen in ru and es.
- Translate errors and statuses that still reached ru/es in English:
feed and tile errors, provider statuses, the ALPR chip, the traffic
mode chip, voice plan step labels, fire feed values, receiver bands,
scene save reasons and the Cesium attribution link.
- Show preset city names in the UI language (src/ui/placeNames.js);
data and everything sent to the model stay English.
- Share layer names between the layer panel, HUD and voice card
(src/ui/layerNames.js).
- Keep long ru/es strings whole: voice card error lines, analyst
titles, the voice tier status, the Nepal evidence button, the ALPR
retry chip. English layout is unchanged.
- Ask before a language switch drops unsaved work.
- Catalog fixes: glossary terms (пуск, пресет), gender agreement and
consistent "peticiones" in es, fewer calques in both languages.
- Fix English text that was itself wrong (e.g. "Exit cockpit to fly to
a weather", raw tool ids in voice plan steps).
Catalogs: es/ru 2535 messages each, complete.

A review of the Russian UI screenshots found ~90 places where longer words
broke the layout or text was still English. Fixed so they hold for any
language, then shortened where a control is short by design.
- Layout: label columns that size to their text (weather and wind settings,
Recent Imagery slots and opacity, style sliders, display panel), layer
list names and icons, buttons that wrap instead of overflowing (CCTV,
scenes, Bhote Koshi), voice header that always shows the cost, styled
EN | ES | RU chips, voice error tray above the dock.
- t() context: t('CLEAR', { context: 'action' }) is «СБРОСИТЬ» while the sky
stays «ЯСНО»; also used for radio categories, voice states and directions.
- Units and dates follow the locale through src/ui/unitLabels.js
(formatQuantity: localized number, translated unit, non-breaking space):
wind, pressure, cyclones, directions, CCTV, SDR gain, scene timing, flight
tooltip, Recent Imagery dates and resolution.
- Newly translated: directions turn-by-turn steps (built from the maneuver;
English matches the server word for word), HUD mode and summary, voice
card states, radio categories on the globe, CCTV status, layer source
lines, scene dialogs (Cancel, file pickers), Bhote Koshi statuses, titles,
comparison dates and caveat, Recent Imagery notices. Stored data and text
for AI tools stay English.
- es and ru: 1,885 messages each.

Mark every UI string the unmarked-text check reported (534) plus text it
cannot see (helpers, joined labels, runtime-built panels), and translate
the result to Spanish and Russian: 1,679 messages each.
- Kept on purpose, with the reason where the text lives: provider and
product names, place and camera names, codes and units, dB values, the HUD
terminal readouts, demo shot titles that saved projects look up by title,
and text for AI tools and the voice model.
- Modules shared with the server or AI tools stay free of the i18n import
(local msg); the wind reading and voice session stay English and are
translated where the page shows them.
- npm test now runs the unmarked-text check.
- Fixes on the way: a duplicated radio privacy paragraph, the contact panel
toggle saying Expand while open, the CSS filter mistaking & for CSS.

Select a box on the world and browse the last 30 days of open satellite imagery over it, keyless: NASA GIBS Harmonized Landsat Sentinel-2 (30 m) and the VIIRS daily overview (250 m), with a day strip, IMAGE / VS BASEMAP / A / B modes with a swipe divider, PNG export and share links. The before/after swipe from the Nepal scene moves into shared modules so both use it.

Retain active-flight preloading while canceling hidden frames and pending Facebook sessions on stop, disable, and replacement. Add lifecycle and pointer-ownership regression coverage. Apply the runtime formatting adopted on main and keep the existing source-shape check insensitive to that formatting.
