Upstream's KartaView PR (#1121) extracted the Mapillary coverage engine
into a shared lineCoverage.js and made the panel wording
provider-specific (coverage noun/action, SINCE upload-date note,
highlightsSequence legend gate), again in the regions this branch
localizes.
- mapillary/coverage.js: taken as upstream's thin re-export of the new
lineCoverage.js; the generic too-high hint stays msg()-marked, now in
lineCoverage.js where the default lives.
- kartaview/policy.js: coverage hints (tooHigh, noCoverage) marked as
msg() data so they translate like every other coverage hint; thrown
error messages stay English, matching the Mapillary precedent.
- presentMeta: KartaView counts streets, and Russian plurals need the
noun inside the template, so the count line gets its own literal tn
pair keyed off coverageLabel.noun, falling back to the sequences pair;
upstream's noun/action data contract is untouched.
- uiState legend: upstream highlightsSequence gate with t('Selected');
sinceNote localized with a {names} placeholder.
- layer-panels.html: sl-since-note wiring kept, data-i18n hooks kept.
- CHANGELOG: both sides kept. es/ru: 4 new keys each.
npm run i18n complete (953 messages each); npm test 6504/6506 (the one
failure is the pre-existing environmental OPENAI_API_KEY leak in
devFreshDotenv, unrelated); build passes.
Panoramax, the open federated street-level commons, registers beside
Mapillary, Google Street View and KartaView. Its meta-catalogue
(api.panoramax.xyz) is keyless and CORS-open, so it runs in the browser:
- coverage from its vector tiles: sequence lines at z11–14 below 30 km
(longest first under the per-tile cap), and above that the grid layer's
density cells as binned points, not counted as sequences;
- a click on a line opens that sequence's picture nearest the click
(STAC search, any direction), without moving the camera, then any
sequence's if it has none within 50 m; the 360° and since filters go to
the lines and to the API;
- cones from the z15 tiles' pictures layer around the open picture
(~110 bytes a picture, against ~7.5 kB for a STAC item), re-centred when
a picture opens outside them; ‹ › follow the picture's prev/next links;
- the caption names the author (not an account named by an email
address) and the picture's licence (StreetPose `license`), and links to
the picture in the Panoramax viewer; the globe credits Panoramax.
KartaView's viewer becomes the shared photoViewer.js (flat <img>, 360° on
panorama.js, ‹ ›, keyboard, pinch, context loss), driven by a per-provider
PhotoSources table; the request limiter moves to limiter.js. Panoramax shows
the 2,048 px SD derivative and fetches the HD original only when the viewer
is wide enough, once, shrunk while it decodes (never above 8,192 px).
Orange #ff6f00 (Panoramax's own), off by default, share option
0.m.0_0.r.panoramax-1. The MCP panel allows the meta-catalogue and the
biggest instances. Tests: policy, decode, source, viewer, provider, and a
Panoramax fixture in the hermetic browser gate.

Coverage lines from KartaView's z13-14 JSON tiles (OSM ways with photos,
chained end to start), the photo nearest a clicked line, cones along its
sequence, and a viewer for flat photos and 360° panoramas (a small WebGL
equirectangular renderer, no new dependency) with ‹ › along the sequence.
Mapillary's camera-driven line coverage and sequence cones move to the
provider-neutral core (lineCoverage.js, sequenceCones.js) with the tile
fetch, zoom ladder, colours and pick prefixes injected; Mapillary keeps
thin wrappers and its tests pass unchanged.
KartaView quirks handled: api.kartaview.org (the documented
api.openstreetcam.org serves empty tiles), photo URLs that name storage1
for photos stored elsewhere, and a photo API that answers 429 to more than
about three requests at once (two in flight, retried with backoff).

Main added the Google Street View street-level provider and key guidance
that offers another source. Its new text goes through t()/msg() with ru
and es entries; the key guidance the panel shows is built in the UI
language by src/ui/keyGuidance.js, while keySetupCore.mjs keeps the
English sentences the server and AI tools use.

Upstream's Street View rework (second imagery provider, one source at a
time, OPEN STREET VIEW button, key-alternative guidance) rewrote exactly
the street-level regions this branch localizes.
Resolved as upstream logic + re-applied localization:
- keySetupCore: new unlock copy kept as msg() data; added
keySetupAlternativeKeyNames() returning machine values (registry key
names) so key-setup core stays English while presentation localizes.
- New src/ui/keyGuidance.js: localized key-guidance composer shared by
layerPanel and streetLevelPresentation (requirement sentence plus the
"or light X to use your Y key" alternatives tail, placeholders only).
- streetLevelPresentation: keyGuidance()/presentNearest()/presentMeta
relocalized (t/tn + formatNumber instead of toLocaleString);
renderModes and month-precision dates kept from upstream.
- layer-panels.html: upstream row ids, sl-meta-row and the new button
kept, data-i18n hooks re-applied (incl. OPEN STREET VIEW fallback).
- es/ru catalogs: 13 new keys, stale unlock key replaced in place.
npm run i18n: complete for es and ru. npm test: 6345/6347; the one
failure (devFreshDotenv provenance) also fails on plain upstream/main
and on the pre-merge tip here - this machine leaks OPENAI_API_KEY into
spawned children with a replaced env, so it is environmental.
Review on #855: the per-aircraft rule (NIC < 7 || NACp < 8, borrowed from
the US 14 CFR 91.227 ADS-B Out minima) is GEV-defined, not gpsjam's, and
gpsjam's map shows low navigation accuracy, not necessarily jamming.
- Primary cell state is now `navigation-integrity-anomaly` (medium/high) or
`nominal`; `suspected-gnss-interference` is a secondary `interpretation`
marked validated: false.
- GNSS_PROVENANCE / gnssProvenance({ windowMs }) records the classifier
(gev-nic-nacp-v1, GEV, unvalidated), the gpsjam aggregation (formula,
bands [0.02, 0.1], FAQ source) and the GEV 30-minute visited-view window,
built from the constants the code applies. Exposed as layer.provenance
and getStats().provenance; the proxy tags responses with `classifier`.
- Visible name "GNSS Integrity", legend "... low accuracy", blurb leads with
low navigation accuracy and states the threshold is a GEV choice.
- Layer id `gnss-interference` and share token `0` unchanged.
- Voice aliases add "gnss integrity", "navigation integrity",
"low navigation accuracy"; the interference aliases stay.
- Docs describe the method as GEV threshold + gpsjam aggregation.
- Tests: provenance object, renamed state/label, proxy classifier tag;
qa-gnss asserts provenance and wording in the real app.

- Route the adsb.lol GNSS source through createReferenceSources and the
constructCatalog contract; app layer module is a thin pass-through.
- Describe the method honestly: gpsjam.org's published cell formula and
bands; per-aircraft thresholds are the 14 CFR 91.227(c) ADS-B Out minima
(NIC < 7, NACp < 8) plus readsb gpsOkBefore.
- Proxy: reuse the adsb.lol anchor parser, honour upstream Retry-After
(clamped 5-120 s), serve stale during cooldown, cap the body size.
- Layer: redraw only when a cell id or band changes, treat a settling
camera as a retry rather than a rejected enable, keep low cells visible,
skip rows without finite coordinates, state the 3-aircraft rule in the
legend blurb.
- Voice: gnss-interference in set_layer_visibility / show_data_layers_menu
plus common aliases; voice pins re-derived.
- qa-gnss: stub the route in-page (request interception stalls Cesium's
geometry workers), assert every cell is built, cover all bands over land
and sea, screenshot every state with the Data Layers row open.

Bins airborne ADS-B v1/v2 aircraft that report degraded navigation
integrity (NIC < 7, NACp < 8, or readsb's GPS-loss flag) into 0.5 degree
cells over a rolling 30-minute window, coloured with the gpsjam.org
bands. Keyless: reads the capped adsb.lol point snapshot around the view
through /api/gnss-integrity, which returns integrity fields only, caches
60 s per whole-degree anchor, backs off on upstream 429 and serves the
last snapshot on failure. Adds scripts/qa-gnss.mjs.

- One provider is lit at a time: lighting a chip darkens the others, and a
chip click records every registered provider's switch in one update so
the share link keeps the swap (also off Google 3D, where Street View is
not listed). The layer starts with the first default-on provider
(Mapillary, free); params that light several keep the one already on,
so reapplying them never flips (litByParams). The now-unreachable
"several lit" chip paths are gone.
- Leaving Google 3D during a Street View lookup ends it without an error
or a stuck loading state (openImage's early return resets it; the
lookup loop rechecks availability).
- A source swap during a lookup no longer reports "no imagery".
- Street View lit off Google 3D says the panel needs the Google 3D map.
- Comments trimmed to the why; keySetupCore.test.mjs back to upstream's
formatting plus the one new test (was a 551-line reformat).

main grew the Street Level provider registry while this branch removed it
(#982–#985: injected providers, an empty composition, the `r` switch field).
The registry, params, uiState and pick router come back as main has them and
the slimmed layer sits behind the provider contract:
- The core (index.js) drives providers as on main, without surface modes,
ground casting, FOLLOW, prewarm and nearest-image lookups. A provider's key
status is asked with a 10 s timeout and asked again on a switch-on while no
key is known.
- Mapillary is mapillaryProvider.js over the slim coverage, sequences and
viewer modules, which read the filter and the active flag from the provider
context.
- The viewer host mounts one provider adapter at a time, no prewarm.
- The panel has a chip per provider again (the pill switches the layer);
no legend, EXPAND stays the Fullscreen API.
- The contract drops what no provider implements: groundCaster, meshSampler,
getSurface/setSurface, nearestImage, prewarm, reportError, the legend and
surface fields of the UI snapshot.

Mark every UI string the unmarked-text check reported (534) plus text it
cannot see (helpers, joined labels, runtime-built panels), and translate
the result to Spanish and Russian: 1,679 messages each.
- Kept on purpose, with the reason where the text lives: provider and
product names, place and camera names, codes and units, dB values, the HUD
terminal readouts, demo shot titles that saved projects look up by title,
and text for AI tools and the voice model.
- Modules shared with the server or AI tools stay free of the i18n import
(local msg); the wind reading and voice session stay English and are
translated where the page shows them.
- npm test now runs the unmarked-text check.
- Fixes on the way: a duplicated radio privacy paragraph, the contact panel
toggle saying Expand while open, the CSS filter mistaking & for CSS.

Conflicts with upstream's Street Level provider composition and share-state
codec, resolved:
- Street View's switch moves from its own share option (`g`) to upstream's
provider-switch field (`r`, e.g. `0.r.google-1`); a link without it keeps
Street View off. Docs and the browser gate follow.
- createApplicationStreetLevel keeps upstream's injectable provider list;
its default, once the application supplies its Street Level source, is
Mapillary plus Google Street View. Without that source there are none, as
upstream intends.
- The coverage hint keeps upstream's empty-composition message and joins
every switched-on provider's hint otherwise.
- CHANGELOG, README and SECURITY keep both sides' entries.

Replace the semantic keys with the English source text, so code reads as the
UI does and English needs no catalog: t('Save keys'), tn(count, one, other)
for plurals, msg() for text stored in data, and bare data-i18n* markup that
translates the element's own English. Other languages are one flat JSON each.
- Simplify src/i18n: drop namespaces, the configurable locale pair
(GEV_DEFAULT_LOCALE / GEV_SECONDARY_LOCALE) and its build defines. Locale
comes from ?lang=, the stored choice, then browser languages.
- Add scripts/i18n.mjs (npm run i18n): extracts every message from t/tn/msg
and markup, and fails on missing, unused, placeholder-mismatched or
wrongly-shaped plural entries. npm test runs it via catalog.test.mjs.
- Add Russian (src/i18n/locales/ru.json, 833 messages), started from the
community catalog in #312 and reviewed against the current English.
- Fix data-i18n placed on parents that would wipe their children (cockpit
LEVEL and local weather cells, first-run EXPLORE MANUALLY tile), and a
doubled degree sign in the TRACK ACQUIRED signal.
- Rewrite docs/TRANSLATORS.md for the new workflow; drop sections the earlier
merge resurrected in docs/CURRENT-STATE.md.

- No pointer cursor over coverage lines (no other layer has one); a click
test replaces the hover tests.
- No legend: one source, one colour.
- The on-globe credit lives in index.js; credits.js is gone.
- Billboard glyphs are SVG data URLs with the same geometry, so tests need
no canvas stub.
- The tile cache keeps the 120 most recently used tiles, same 24 h TTL,
instead of a byte budget; listTileLayers was test-only.
- providers/mapillary/ is flattened into the layer and its policy merged
into one policy.js; the source's method list is a literal in the catalog.
- One fakeCesiumViewer for the layer tests.
- The fixture gate keeps the steps the unit tests do not cover: coverage and
credit, a rejected key, line -> cone -> photo, close, a keyless page.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <[email protected]>
- OPEN STREET VIEW in the PROVIDERS row opens Street View's nearest
panorama at the ground under the middle of the screen, without moving
the camera: Street View no longer needs a pointer. It is disabled (and
says so) until the camera is at street zoom.
- Off the Google 3D map Street View does not appear at all: no chip,
legend swatch, globe credit, layer source or button, and Google's script
is not loaded (the viewer has no prewarm; the script loads on first use).
The share option keeps the user's choice for when Google 3D returns.
- A ground click measures the camera height at the click rather than
reading the cached flag.
- A chip without a usable key explains it instead of lighting; it darkens
beside a lit chip, and the other chips keep switching, so a refused
Street View key cannot lock Mapillary out.
- The gate checks that nothing of Street View shows off Google 3D even when
a share link switches it on, presses OPEN STREET VIEW on Google 3D, and
asserts that each chip it switches really switched.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
Google's Maps Platform terms forbid Street View imagery beside non-Google
maps, so the provider declares requiresMapStack: 'photoreal': off Google
3D its chip is dashed with the reason, lookups and opens skip it, and
leaving Google 3D closes its panorama.
- Ground clicks: only a click on the map itself (scenePick.isSurfacePick:
nothing picked or Google 3D tile content) at street zoom opens Street
View, and the camera stays put; higher up the hint says to zoom in.
scenePick.pickGroundPosition replaces the copy in Directions.
- Viewer: poses go out at once and again when the date and address
arrive, so an open never hangs on that lookup; one lookup per panorama,
seeded by the nearest lookup; a close settles a pending open; failed
lookups are asked again; poses follow position changes, not pano_changed.
- Loader: the gm_authFailure handler is installed once, so a retried load
reports a refusal once.
- Viewer host: a prewarm that lands after another provider took the host
is released; FIT/FILL availability is set on every open.
- Provider: a refusal while switched off reports no error over another
photo; SINCE compares against the end of Google's month; messages name
the referrer and network causes; FLAT says Street View is 360° only.
- The layer row names the key of the providers that are on; the MCP panel
CSP admits Street View's tiles, control images and photos.
- Tests for each, against fakes that now follow Google's event order; the
browser gate restores its state, waits instead of sleeping, aims its
panel clicks and corner drags, and asserts the camera stays put.

Google Street View registers beside Mapillary as provider `google`. It runs
on the Maps JavaScript API with the browser GOOGLE_MAPS_API_KEY, loaded on
first use (mapsLoader.js), and uses Google's own StreetViewPanorama as its
viewer adapter, emitting provider-neutral poses (address and month in the
caption, a link to Google Maps, steps along Google's arrows, FOLLOW on
Google 3D). Its chip starts off because every panorama is billed to the
key; the share option is `g`.
Google offers no coverage layer for other maps, so the provider draws
none: with it on, a click on bare ground at street zoom opens its nearest
Google-collected outdoor panorama (groundClick.js). A key Google refuses
reads KEY REJECTED and fails a pending open at once; a lookup Google never
answers fails after 10 s.
Core: providers may declare `groundClick` and `defaultOn`; poses may carry
`capturedAtPrecision` and `title`; the coverage line keeps every
provider's hint; opening one provider's image releases another's
prewarmed viewer; FIT/FILL hides for viewers without render modes. CSP
script-src admits https://maps.googleapis.com. The browser gate gains two
Street View steps (the keyed one skips as 'no Google key' in CI).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
The layer now owns its Mapillary parts directly: the provider registry,
pick router, multi-provider UI summary, params codec helper and provider
context are gone. createStreetLevelLayer({ source }) builds coverage,
sequences, the nearest-image lookup and the MapillaryJS viewer itself; a
single providerOn switch keeps the share link's `mapillary` option (off
draws nothing), and getParams/setParams keep { mapillary, pano, sinceDays }.
No z0-5 overview points: above 60 km nothing is drawn and the panel says to
zoom in; the proxy now serves only coverage z11-14. Tiles come from the
visible ground within range of the camera, ranked from the ground under it
(no line-of-sight ranking or near-range padding). MapillaryJS loads on the
first photo; viewer prewarm is removed. Key status, a rejected key and a
rate limit share one `blocked` state on coverage.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
FOLLOW is gone: no setFollow, follow state, map-stack availability or
handoff listener. Opening a photo still frames it with one flight through
the application's deferred navigation (begin/reassert), so a slow photo
never overrides newer navigation and tracking is released as before.
Ground casting is gone: groundCast.js, meshSampler.js, the surface mode,
the draped-to-cast swap and remesh. Coverage lines are always draped
GroundPolylinePrimitives (ClassificationType.BOTH); cones and the marker
clamp to the ground and keep the horizon cull. The terrain/meshFloor/ground
services and meshFloor.visibleTilesetLoaded are no longer needed.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
- Imported metadata stays inert: descriptions, native labels, properties and
KML extended data are dropped from every entity; names are kept as short
plain text. GeoJSON loads with a describe that builds no HTML, and
simplestyle (including marker-symbol) is dropped, so no icon asset is
fetched for a file and GeoJSON draws in its row's color.
- Bound geometry before loading: features and vertices are counted in the
parsed GeoJSON, the KML document and while reading GPX, and a file over
20,000 features or 250,000 vertices is refused before Cesium builds it.
- Imports run one batch at a time, so concurrent picks or drops cannot pass
the 12-file cap.
- Fly-to framing walks long tracks by index instead of spreading them into a
call.
- Fly-to is an immediate navigation through the application shell; the fly
after an import is a deferred navigation stamped when the batch starts and
re-asserted just before flying.
- Dated imports never change the shared clock: imported sources expose no
clock, entities are available for all time, and a KML gx:Track is drawn as
its line.
- GPX is read into GeoJSON with one line per track segment, without times.
- KML/KMZ rows show a hatched swatch (they keep their own styles); keyboard
focus is kept on the same control after hide/show and moves to the next
row after remove.
- Unit regressions for each, and the rendered QA now imports hostile
metadata, dated KML/GPX and a two-segment track, and fails on any request
for a file's contents or icon assets, a clock change, or surviving
metadata.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
DISPLAY ▸ Import (and drop onto the globe) puts the person's own files on
the map as Cesium data sources, clamped to the ground, one color per file,
with a row to show/hide, fly to or remove each. Files stay in the browser
for the session.
KML/KMZ are sanitized before Cesium reads them (network links, remote
icons/styles, models, photo/screen overlays and balloon HTML removed; KMZ
images served from blob URLs), so an imported file cannot make the page
fetch anything. KMZ is read with a small dependency-free zip reader on the
platform DecompressionStream, with a zip-bomb limit. Bounded file size,
entity count and number of files.
Tests: src/data/geoFileImport.test.mjs, src/ui/geoFileImport.test.mjs.
Gate: scripts/qa-geo-import.mjs. The import half of #890.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
- Photo framing and FOLLOW claim the camera through the application's
navigation, injected with attachNavigation({ run, subscribeHandoff }):
aircraft and satellite tracking is released first, the cockpit refuses,
and FOLLOW stops when another feature takes the camera. No UI imports
in the layer.
- The mesh sampler follows the mesh floor's rules: it waits for the
visible tileset to finish streaming (visibleTilesetLoaded, now exposed
by the mesh floor service), needs a real bare-earth prior and keeps to
the shared meshFloorSampleWithinPrior window, which cameraFollow now
uses too. A cell is probed again once the camera is half as far from
it (down to 40 m), so a coarse early sample is replaced and redrawn.
- The MCP globe panel's CSP allows the Mapillary Graph API and its image
CDN (https://*.xx.fbcdn.net).
- The tile proxy reads bodies with the shared readResponseBytesCapped.

Trim the doc text this PR adds (README, CHANGELOG, CURRENT-STATE,
KNOWN-ISSUES, SECURITY, DATA_SOURCES, .env.example, the CI job comment),
drop code comments that restate the code, cut design-note JSDoc to a line
or two, and drop review tags from test names. Comments only; no code
changes.
Also: README key count (seven keys, two metered), CURRENT-STATE's gate
paragraph (CI runs a production build with a dummy token), the stacked
doc above meshBoxInRange and the orphaned inMeshRange line in
coverage.js, and a duplicate ALPR row in DATA_SOURCES that a merge had
brought back.

From gekh's review of db79027, each with a test that fails before:
- P2: image cones and the photo marker no longer disappear where the
ground lies below the WGS84 ellipsoid (NYC -22 m, Colombo -95 m). The
horizon cull's occluder is WGS84 shrunk by 1 km (HORIZON_CULL_DEPTH_M),
below any real surface, so a camera near or under the ellipsoid no
longer treats every lower point as behind the horizon; the far side of
the Earth is still hidden from orbit (tested).
- Mesh range across the date line: the camera's longitude is taken to the
box's side of +-180 before clamping (meshBoxInRange), so a tile just
across the line is not measured from its far edge.
- MapillaryJS no longer tracks window resizes (trackResize: false): the
panel's ResizeObserver resizes the viewer and skips it while hidden, so
a window resize after closing a photo cannot ask for a tile at z=NaN.
- A key-less install sends no tile requests before the key status is
known: coverage waits for the first status answer and the provider
refreshes it once the status lands.
- constructCatalog takes the source method list from MAPILLARY_SOURCE_
METHODS; sequences.js imports view.js once; the provider's unused
re-exports are gone.
Verified: unit 5970 pass; strict fixture gate on a production build 28 ok
+ 2 "no Google 3D" skips and the panel gate 6/6 (QA_FAIL_ON_RETRY=1);
live gate with a real token 25 ok + 3 fixture-only skips.

From gekh's review of #768, each bug with a test that fails before:
- P2: a failed sequence load clears the previous sequence's cones, resets
the selection and can be retried; a second click while loading starts no
second lookup. sequences.js had no tests: sequences.test.mjs now covers
failure and retry, a superseded late answer, the cache and clearSelection.
- P2: closing a photo stops MapillaryJS sequence playback, which kept the
hidden viewer stepping and downloading images.
- openNearest without the panel reports it instead of loading forever, and
stops if the layer (or its provider) went off during the lookup; the
mesh sampler's misses are bounded and forgotten with its samples; the
sequence count is the union of ids across tiles; a provider withdraws
only its own error, so a sequence error cannot mask KEY REJECTED; hover
stays on (throttled) under an orbiting camera and re-picks when it
stops; "since N days" follows the clock in a long-open tab.
- A prewarm waits for one in flight and then builds if it gave up.
- New coverage for the layer core (credits, KEY REJECTED vs REQUIRED,
switching a provider off), the refresh wiring of the tilted-view fix and
the draped-to-cast swap completion.
- Cleanup: loading is derived from pending; freshStreet(); tile ranking
computes distances once and shares one path for the date line; shared
metresBetween / whenIdle / redrawTile; one NEAREST_RADIUS_M and one
source method list; unused contract fields, exports, getImage and the
decoder's image branch removed; PROVIDER_COLORS lists only Mapillary.

Without a browser key, the app asks its server for a short-lived Google
access token (GET /api/google/tiles-token, answering accessToken and
expiresAt) and loads Photorealistic 3D Tiles directly with it as a
header. A tile refused for an expired token gets a renewed one and is
retried once. A server that does not offer tokens changes nothing: the
app continues through ion or the keyless globe as before.
Brings in 123 commits from main, including the v0.2.0 and v0.2.1 releases
(MCP server and tool catalog, server security hardening, build hygiene).
Conflicts:
- package.json: kept main's script order and added this PR's
qa:panel-resize and qa:street-level; exports keep both sides (main's
tools/view entries and this PR's street-level and Mapillary entries).
- src/tooling/viteBuild.test.mjs: kept this PR's Mapillary-token define
assertion and main's new wildcard-host allowedHosts assertions.
- CHANGELOG.md: main now has release sections; this PR's entries go under
[Unreleased].
Checks after the merge: doctor, format:check, check:boundaries,
layer-token:check (28 published, 1 new: street-level 0), npm test (5726
pass), build, the Windows job's focused tests (70 pass), qa:panel-resize,
and the keyless street-level gate. The new CSP allows Mapillary (https:
connect/img, blob workers). The keyed gate stops at coverage locally
because the dev .env Mapillary token is invalid (upstream 403), not because
of the merge.

Embed-mode documents now keep the server's framing protection unless
GEV_EMBED_FRAME_ANCESTORS names the pages that may frame them (or * for any
page). The MCP Apps panel loads the app into its own page and needs no
framing. View answers are posted to the origin that sent the view rather
than to any origin.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <[email protected]>
panel_request now requires a key that each MCP server generates and places
in its panel page, which keeps the tool from clients that list it to the
model without loading the panel. The key is not access control: any MCP
client can read the panel page. Routes the panel never loads (provider
settings, credential and model endpoints, the MCP endpoint and development
server internals) are refused to every caller, regardless of letter case or
encoding.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <[email protected]>
Cesium's script sets CESIUM_WORKERS itself when it loads, so the panel's
combined workers script was never used, and neither was the embedded
terrain-heights file: the worker still requested it from the panel
page's site. The panel build now writes only the prelude, and the panel
puts it ahead of whatever Cesium assigns to CESIUM_WORKERS. The separate
esbuild bundle of Cesium's workers is gone.
A view's follow may ask for cockpit view, which the app enters after it
follows the aircraft; links cannot carry it and open the app following.
Applying a view no longer flies the camera when the followed entity is
already there, since the flight ended the follow; it flies only while
waiting for the entity. The panel applies its first view again only
when it asks for cockpit view.
The panel starts the app from the first view's link, which the app
restores, following included. Sending the same view again once the app
was ready flew the camera to it, which ended the follow and left cockpit
view. The panel now sends only views that arrive while the app loads.
panel_request resolved paths with a check for a leading //, but URL
parsing also reads /\host as another host, so it could request other
servers. It now resolves the path against the app's address, refuses
any other origin, matches refused routes decoded as well, and does not
follow redirects. Responses are capped at 64 MiB while reading, with a
deadline; held responses make room on arrival and expire by time only,
so a response being read keeps its parts.
The panel keeps converted images only for its build files, so live
camera frames no longer accumulate, and failed build loads are retried.
The dev server answers a malformed /panel/ path with 400 instead of
crashing.
Drop the render restarts added while chasing the black overlays; keep
the full render-error report and stop the timer after an error, as
Cesium does. Correct comments the investigation outran, share the
panel_request name, and document the host differences the panel works
around.
In Claude, the app's 2D overlay canvases covered the globe in black
while the host treated the panel as off screen, and the globe showed
once they were hidden. The panel now asks for 2D canvases backed by
memory rather than the GPU.
