The Contact and briefing cards' headers repeated the same frame: the title
grid over a hairline, the accent kicker and the square action buttons. It
lives in cockpit-card-header, cockpit-card-kicker and cockpit-card-actions
now, beside each card's own classes, which keep only their spacing and
sizes; the cyber theme targets the shared classes. The computed styles of
every header element are unchanged in the default and cyber themes,
expanded and collapsed.
- Fix meaning errors flagged by the three-model review: downed aircraft
(Аварія літака), fast jet, the straight-ahead lane, road traffic,
pilot vessel, nearby contact counts, the low-accuracy score.
- Grammar: case agreement in the radio aria label and the key-store
message, «прицілу», у/в euphony, payload count after a colon,
FIRES as ПОЖ. so any count reads correctly.
- The cockpit current-style button widens to fit ЗВИЧАЙНИЙ; other
languages keep the 58px minimum.

Main gained three imagery providers (Google Street View, KartaView,
Panoramax), shared line-coverage, cone and photo-viewer modules, one source
lit at a time and the translated interface. Their shared modules still
carried what this branch removes, so the merge ports them onto it:
- lineCoverage.js is this branch's coverage.js made provider-neutral
(draped lines near the ground only, the selection drawn over them, key
and rate-limit blocking); sequenceCones.js is sequences.js the same way.
Mapillary, KartaView and Panoramax all build on them; Mapillary moves
back to providers/mapillary/ beside the others.
- No ground casting, mesh sampling, surface modes, FOLLOW, legend, prewarm,
orbit overview points (Panoramax's density dots included), stale-tile
swaps or water-filled point budget come back.
- Kept from main because the new providers need them: requiresMapStack and
attachMapStackController (Street View on Google 3D only), ground clicks,
openNearest with an optional provider nearestImage, openImage {frame},
reportError, the view-cone marker (now an SVG glyph), filters /
coverageLabel / sinceBasis, OPEN STREET VIEW, keyAlternatives and i18n.
- photoViewer.js treats the viewer as expanded when its wrap is full screen
or the iPhone popover, as EXPAND now is.
- The fixture browser gate keeps its 8 steps and adds one each for
KartaView and Panoramax; catalogs, docs, boundaries and format scope
follow.

Fixes the 51 P0–P2 findings from the full review of the i18n branch and
the issues found while checking every new string on screen in ru and es.
- Translate errors and statuses that still reached ru/es in English:
feed and tile errors, provider statuses, the ALPR chip, the traffic
mode chip, voice plan step labels, fire feed values, receiver bands,
scene save reasons and the Cesium attribution link.
- Show preset city names in the UI language (src/ui/placeNames.js);
data and everything sent to the model stay English.
- Share layer names between the layer panel, HUD and voice card
(src/ui/layerNames.js).
- Keep long ru/es strings whole: voice card error lines, analyst
titles, the voice tier status, the Nepal evidence button, the ALPR
retry chip. English layout is unchanged.
- Ask before a language switch drops unsaved work.
- Catalog fixes: glossary terms (пуск, пресет), gender agreement and
consistent "peticiones" in es, fewer calques in both languages.
- Fix English text that was itself wrong (e.g. "Exit cockpit to fly to
a weather", raw tool ids in voice plan steps).
Catalogs: es/ru 2535 messages each, complete.

Conflicts resolved by keeping both sides: the Events group gains
gnss-integrity with a translated label, the cockpit aircraft line shows
main's transponder emergency through a localized formatter (cockpitMath.js
stays i18n-free, like the Context scope line), and the boundary lists keep
both the i18n modules and main's new data modules.
Main's new UI is translated into es and ru: the GNSS Integrity row, legend
and notes; geo file import (button, hints, list actions, every import
error, with numbers passed as placeholders); transponder status names.
Also formats kartaview/viewer.js so format:check passes.

- aircraftEmergency: `source` is 'squawk' only when the Mode A code itself
names the status; the Cockpit HUD no longer quotes an unrelated squawk
(e.g. SQUAWK 1200 on an ADS-B `downed` status).
- military: new billboards and the untrack restore use the fleet tint, so an
emergency stays red instead of snapping back to amber; tint helpers take the
record already in hand instead of a second lookup.
- cockpit/cyber CSS: emergency colour via a custom property / theme token,
meta line bolded so the status does not rely on colour alone in the HUD.
- tests: revert Prettier churn in unscoped test files; only semantic edits.
- docs/CURRENT-STATE.md: transponder emergency highlighting section.
- qa-emergency-squawk: (iv) RELEASE check; new files added to format scope.

Flights and Military Flights tint aircraft red while the latest poll
carries squawk 7500/7600/7700 or an adsb.lol ADS-B emergency status
(general/unlawful/nordo/downed). Minimum-fuel and lifeguard priorities
are reported but not tinted. The Cockpit HUD aircraft-meta line names
the broadcast code in red. The status is not sticky: a cleared code
stops highlighting on the next refresh.
The analyst/voice query engine gains squawk, emergency and
emergencyKind fields. No new source or request: OpenSky state vectors
already carry the squawk and adsb.lol/readsb carries both fields.

From the re-shot Russian screenshots:
- Translated: weather frame/imagery status errors, HUD summary provenance
("НЕДОСТУПНО: СУДА AIS ОНЛАЙН"), Bhote Koshi map labels, cockpit signal
distances (КМ). The HUD summary fields are separated with " · " in every
language, so the style name and view band no longer read as one phrase.
- Numbers follow the locale: cockpit altitude ("26 175"), precipitation.
- No breaks inside codes and dates: ADS-B and similar in layer rows,
Sentinel-2, cyclone issue dates (word joiner; the UI font has no U+2011),
no-break space after label colons in cyclone details.
- Layout: count lines under ALPR, short unavailable chip (context
"status chip"), roomier draw segments, tighter CCTV calibration chips,
two-line beat titles and media card titles, wrapping weather status.
- Wording: ru advisory is «сводка» (was «бюллетень»; "Advisory center" is
«Центр циклона по сводке»), Street View is «Просмотр улиц», OPACITY
«НЕПРОЗР.», synced «синхр.», Area «Зона»; the import dialog no longer says
"this scene" for several scenes. Glossary updated.

A review of the Russian UI screenshots found ~90 places where longer words
broke the layout or text was still English. Fixed so they hold for any
language, then shortened where a control is short by design.
- Layout: label columns that size to their text (weather and wind settings,
Recent Imagery slots and opacity, style sliders, display panel), layer
list names and icons, buttons that wrap instead of overflowing (CCTV,
scenes, Bhote Koshi), voice header that always shows the cost, styled
EN | ES | RU chips, voice error tray above the dock.
- t() context: t('CLEAR', { context: 'action' }) is «СБРОСИТЬ» while the sky
stays «ЯСНО»; also used for radio categories, voice states and directions.
- Units and dates follow the locale through src/ui/unitLabels.js
(formatQuantity: localized number, translated unit, non-breaking space):
wind, pressure, cyclones, directions, CCTV, SDR gain, scene timing, flight
tooltip, Recent Imagery dates and resolution.
- Newly translated: directions turn-by-turn steps (built from the maneuver;
English matches the server word for word), HUD mode and summary, voice
card states, radio categories on the globe, CCTV status, layer source
lines, scene dialogs (Cancel, file pickers), Bhote Koshi statuses, titles,
comparison dates and caveat, Recent Imagery notices. Stored data and text
for AI tools stay English.
- es and ru: 1,885 messages each.

EXPAND now uses the browser's Fullscreen API on the viewer element, which
stays in the panel; the hand-built modal (re-parenting to <body>, inert
siblings, focus trap, document-level Esc/Tab, Clean View/recording/cockpit
hide rules) is gone. The button is hidden where the API is missing.
The FOLLOW button and the PROVIDERS chip row are removed. The header pill is
the only layer switch and re-enables a provider switched off elsewhere; under
KEY REQUIRED the error line says which key to add. Chip colour support in
chipGroup, dead CSS and tests pinning the removed behaviour go with them.

From gekh's review of #768, each with a test that fails before:
- P2: the panel no longer reopens on every page load. The shell reports
who asked for Street Level to switch on; only a user, voice or tool
request (isExplicitLayerStateOrigin) or an opening photo opens it, and
those automatic opens are never stored. Without the hook, a stored or
shared "collapsed" choice wins during the restore window.
- P2: the expanded photo hides in Clean View, recording and the cockpit,
and holds neither Esc nor Tab while hidden.
- Esc/Tab are taken only from the viewer, body or globe, not app-wide;
FIT/FILL show the right choice while expanded; a 0x0 viewer is never
resized (no z=NaN tile request); the expanded viewer keeps the panel's
CSS tokens; KEY REQUIRED hides the raw "no_key" code.
- Share links carry the panel's collapsed state (ui token t); the Cyber
theme frames the panel like its rail peers (the pinned Cyber selector
tests now list it).
- Accessibility: radiogroups move with arrow keys and are one tab stop,
their focus ring is no longer clipped, and the provider chips sit
outside the disabled fieldset so the "how to add the key" hint stays
reachable (a gated chip explains instead of toggling).
- Renders write only changed attributes (the rail's MutationObserver
relaid out on every write); one coalesced resize per open; the legacy
render-mode key migration is gone.

Supersedes #442 by @yashveeeeeeer, ported onto the current component layout with fixes from review.
Verified before merge: format, package boundaries, unit suite, build, and the browser tracking suite; a browser harness for the change where one applies; adversarial review applied.
