German KhokhlovandClaude Opus 5.5 a28e29e05e fix(i18n): restore English output changed by the i18n foundation
A side-by-side English comparison with main found text the branch changed:
- Layer list names: #601 let its own catalog names win over the panel's
English names, so "Live Vessels" read "Live AIS Vessels", "Bike Share"
"Bikeshare", "Cameras" "CCTV", "Data Centers" "Datacenters", "Active Fires"
"FIRMS Active Fires". The panel names win again.
- HUD feed-state suffix is "UNAVAILABLE LIVE AIS VESSELS" again (Russian keeps
 its colon); the mission panel aria-label is "Selected Space Mission" again;
scene shot timing is "4.0s + 0.9s" again.

Leo PechnickiandClaude Opus 5.5 7d6f31e54d feat(squawk): carry emergencySource + observation time into analyst records
Review on #856 (kvnloo): the analyst projection flattened a 7700 squawk and
the readsb ADS-B emergency field into the same emergency/emergencyKind pair.

- mapAnalystRecord (flights, military) adds emergencySource ('squawk' |
 'ads-b' | null, from aircraftEmergency().source), emergencyBroadcast (new
pure emergencyBroadcastPhrase: "broadcasting squawk 7700 (general
emergency)" vs "ADS-B reports general emergency") and observedAtMs (the
record's lastContactEpochMs: last transponder message, epoch ms).
- emergencySource is a queryable analyst text field; the voice payload passes
it and emergencyBroadcast through, and observedAtMs only for aircraft with
a status. Tool description asks the model to narrate with the phrase.
- Source-to-analyst fixture test: OpenSky 7700 vs adsb.lol emergency=general
on squawk 1200 differ in provenance and timestamp; filterable by source.
- Voice tool-payload pins re-derived for the additive description change.

Leo PechnickiandClaude 15b13e947b fix(flights): address review — quotable squawk only, all military tint sites, no test churn
- aircraftEmergency: `source` is 'squawk' only when the Mode A code itself
names the status; the Cockpit HUD no longer quotes an unrelated squawk
 (e.g. SQUAWK 1200 on an ADS-B `downed` status).
- military: new billboards and the untrack restore use the fleet tint, so an
emergency stays red instead of snapping back to amber; tint helpers take the
record already in hand instead of a second lookup.
- cockpit/cyber CSS: emergency colour via a custom property / theme token,
meta line bolded so the status does not rely on colour alone in the HUD.
- tests: revert Prettier churn in unscoped test files; only semantic edits.
- docs/CURRENT-STATE.md: transponder emergency highlighting section.
- qa-emergency-squawk: (iv) RELEASE check; new files added to format scope.

Leo PechnickiandClaude eb7f059750 feat(layers): highlight aircraft broadcasting a transponder emergency
Flights and Military Flights tint aircraft red while the latest poll
carries squawk 7500/7600/7700 or an adsb.lol ADS-B emergency status
(general/unlawful/nordo/downed). Minimum-fuel and lifeguard priorities
are reported but not tinted. The Cockpit HUD aircraft-meta line names
the broadcast code in red. The status is not sticky: a cleared code
stops highlighting on the next refresh.

The analyst/voice query engine gains squawk, emergency and
emergencyKind fields. No new source or request: OpenSky state vectors
already carry the squawk and adsb.lol/readsb carries both fields.

Leo PechnickiandClaude Opus 5.5 783c5b16f4 fix(gnss): date replayed snapshots by the proxy-reported age, not cross-clock fetchedAt
The layer compared the server's fetchedAt with the browser's clock, so a
skewed client clock could shift or void the 30-minute window. The proxy now
returns ageMs (its own now minus fetchedAt, at serve time, on fresh, cached
and stale answers); the source refuses a snapshot without a finite,
non-negative ageMs, and the layer dates rows as its now() - ageMs. fetchedAt
stays in the payload for display.

Tests: proxy cached/stale answers report ageMs on the server clock; the
source rejects missing/invalid/negative ageMs; the layer replay test drives
ageMs. qa-gnss stubs send ageMs.

Leo Pechnicki 7e570a79ad fix(gnss): expire stale cells on re-enable; pin the unpruned return-after-window path
Re-enabling after a disable longer than the window no longer shows the
old cells until the next refresh. A healthy report arriving 31 minutes
after a degraded one, with no prune in between, starts clean; exactly
30 minutes still counts.

Leo Pechnicki fde8b2a64f fix(gnss): age degraded evidence and replayed snapshots on their own clocks
Maintainer review on #855 (mazy1998, 2026-10-06):

- records: presence (seenAt) and degraded evidence (degradedAt) age
separately, so continuing healthy reports no longer keep an older
degraded flag alive past 30 minutes; an aircraft returning after the
window starts fresh. pruneGnssObservations ages the store with no new
 rows.
- Rows are dated by the snapshot's fetchedAt, which the proxy keeps on
cached and stale answers: a replay never restarts the window, the
proxy stops serving a stale snapshot older than the window, the source
refuses an undated one, and cells expire during fetch failures and
while there is no view anchor.
- Normalization accepts ADS-B versions 1 and 2 only; a missing, invalid
or negative seen_pos is not a confirmed position from the last minute.
- qa-gnss: keyboard, 390x844 viewport (fresh page: isMobile reloads) and
replay-age sections; the live cell assertion bins the returned rows
with the layer's own rules instead of a raw row count.

Leo PechnickiandClaude Opus 5.5 6d4a2a02fe fix(gnss): separate GEV integrity classifier from GPSJAM aggregation; machine-readable provenance
Review on #855: the per-aircraft rule (NIC < 7 || NACp < 8, borrowed from
the US 14 CFR 91.227 ADS-B Out minima) is GEV-defined, not gpsjam's, and
gpsjam's map shows low navigation accuracy, not necessarily jamming.

- Primary cell state is now `navigation-integrity-anomaly` (medium/high) or
 `nominal`; `suspected-gnss-interference` is a secondary `interpretation`
 marked validated: false.
- GNSS_PROVENANCE / gnssProvenance({ windowMs }) records the classifier
(gev-nic-nacp-v1, GEV, unvalidated), the gpsjam aggregation (formula,
bands [0.02, 0.1], FAQ source) and the GEV 30-minute visited-view window,
built from the constants the code applies. Exposed as layer.provenance
and getStats().provenance; the proxy tags responses with `classifier`.
- Visible name "GNSS Integrity", legend "... low accuracy", blurb leads with
low navigation accuracy and states the threshold is a GEV choice.
- Layer id `gnss-interference` and share token `0` unchanged.
- Voice aliases add "gnss integrity", "navigation integrity",
"low navigation accuracy"; the interference aliases stay.
- Docs describe the method as GEV threshold + gpsjam aggregation.
- Tests: provenance object, renamed state/label, proxy classifier tag;
qa-gnss asserts provenance and wording in the real app.

Leo PechnickiandClaude 21201c78f0 fix(gnss): address review - reference source wiring, honest method, 429 backoff, QA render proof
- Route the adsb.lol GNSS source through createReferenceSources and the
constructCatalog contract; app layer module is a thin pass-through.
- Describe the method honestly: gpsjam.org's published cell formula and
bands; per-aircraft thresholds are the 14 CFR 91.227(c) ADS-B Out minima
 (NIC < 7, NACp < 8) plus readsb gpsOkBefore.
- Proxy: reuse the adsb.lol anchor parser, honour upstream Retry-After
(clamped 5-120 s), serve stale during cooldown, cap the body size.
- Layer: redraw only when a cell id or band changes, treat a settling
camera as a retry rather than a rejected enable, keep low cells visible,
skip rows without finite coordinates, state the 3-aircraft rule in the
 legend blurb.
- Voice: gnss-interference in set_layer_visibility / show_data_layers_menu
plus common aliases; voice pins re-derived.
- qa-gnss: stub the route in-page (request interception stalls Cesium's
geometry workers), assert every cell is built, cover all bands over land
and sea, screenshot every state with the Data Layers row open.

Leo PechnickiandClaude eefcb338b3 feat(layers): GNSS interference layer from ADS-B NIC/NACp integrity
Bins airborne ADS-B v1/v2 aircraft that report degraded navigation
integrity (NIC < 7, NACp < 8, or readsb's GPS-loss flag) into 0.5 degree
cells over a rolling 30-minute window, coloured with the gpsjam.org
bands. Keyless: reads the capped adsb.lol point snapshot around the view
through /api/gnss-integrity, which returns integrity fields only, caches
60 s per whole-degree anchor, backs off on upstream 429 and serves the
last snapshot on failure. Adds scripts/qa-gnss.mjs.

German KhokhlovandClaude Opus 5.5 54dce5b3bd fix(i18n): second screenshot review: remaining English, numbers and wraps
From the re-shot Russian screenshots:
- Translated: weather frame/imagery status errors, HUD summary provenance
("НЕДОСТУПНО: СУДА AIS ОНЛАЙН"), Bhote Koshi map labels, cockpit signal
distances (КМ). The HUD summary fields are separated with " · " in every
language, so the style name and view band no longer read as one phrase.
- Numbers follow the locale: cockpit altitude ("26 175"), precipitation.
- No breaks inside codes and dates: ADS-B and similar in layer rows,
Sentinel-2, cyclone issue dates (word joiner; the UI font has no U+2011),
no-break space after label colons in cyclone details.
- Layout: count lines under ALPR, short unavailable chip (context
"status chip"), roomier draw segments, tighter CCTV calibration chips,
two-line beat titles and media card titles, wrapping weather status.
- Wording: ru advisory is «сводка» (was «бюллетень»; "Advisory center" is
«Центр циклона по сводке»), Street View is «Просмотр улиц», OPACITY
«НЕПРОЗР.», synced «синхр.», Area «Зона»; the import dialog no longer says
"this scene" for several scenes. Glossary updated.

Said TurkseverandClaude Opus 5.5 b1efd22f02 feat(street-level): one imagery source at a time; IC8 review fixes
- One provider is lit at a time: lighting a chip darkens the others, and a
chip click records every registered provider's switch in one update so
the share link keeps the swap (also off Google 3D, where Street View is
not listed). The layer starts with the first default-on provider
(Mapillary, free); params that light several keep the one already on,
so reapplying them never flips (litByParams). The now-unreachable
"several lit" chip paths are gone.
- Leaving Google 3D during a Street View lookup ends it without an error
or a stuck loading state (openImage's early return resets it; the
 lookup loop rechecks availability).
- A source swap during a lookup no longer reports "no imagery".
- Street View lit off Google 3D says the panel needs the Google 3D map.
- Comments trimmed to the why; keySetupCore.test.mjs back to upstream's
formatting plus the one new test (was a 551-line reformat).

Said TurkseverandClaude Opus 5.5 64d939f3d2 feat(street-level): Street View polish — name, filters, legend, marker
- The chip reads GOOGLE STREET VIEW (and its caption link likewise).
- Providers declare the imagery filters they honour (`filters`, default
pano + since). Street View declares none: every panorama is 360° and it
draws no coverage to thin, so its lookups ignore the filters and the
panel hides IMAGERY and SINCE while it is the only lit provider.
- The legend lists only providers that draw coverage lines, with
Selected only beside one: Street View alone shows no legend.
- Providers may pick their on-globe marker (`marker`); Street View's is a
Google-blue field-of-view cone from a white-ringed dot, in place of
GEV's amber pin, and switches back for a Mapillary photo.

Aditya b90bcf1829 fix(flights): don't treat OpenSky's position-less rows as a partial snapshot
OpenSky's state-vector spec allows null longitude/latitude, and every live
/states/all response carries such rows (about 50 of 7,800). The normaliser
rejects them, so admitRecords reported complete: false on effectively every
poll. While a snapshot is incomplete, FlightRecords.absence() retains any
aircraft received in the last five minutes, which meant the stale fade,
MISSING_POLL_LIMIT and the landed fast-cull never ran: vanished and landed
aircraft stayed on the globe at full opacity for up to five minutes.

admitRecords now takes an optional unpositionedId(row). A rejected row it
names is a contact without a position: its id is returned in retainIds and
the row does not count against completeness. OpenSky opts in for rows with an
ICAO24 address and strictly null longitude and latitude; the id comes from
the same helper the normaliser uses. Rows with no usable id, out-of-range or
half-null coordinates, truncated rows and positioned duplicates still make
the snapshot incomplete, and a nonempty feed with no positioned rows is
still malformed.

absence() retains exactly the retainIds aircraft under the existing
five-minute bound, except likely-landed ones, which keep the landed limit.
Everything else ages out normally. Military readsb admission does not opt
in and is unchanged.

German KhokhlovandClaude Fable 5.1 c29ccd55d6 Merge origin/main: keep the provider registry, slim it
main grew the Street Level provider registry while this branch removed it
(#982–#985: injected providers, an empty composition, the `r` switch field).
The registry, params, uiState and pick router come back as main has them and
the slimmed layer sits behind the provider contract:

- The core (index.js) drives providers as on main, without surface modes,
ground casting, FOLLOW, prewarm and nearest-image lookups. A provider's key
status is asked with a 10 s timeout and asked again on a switch-on while no
 key is known.
- Mapillary is mapillaryProvider.js over the slim coverage, sequences and
viewer modules, which read the filter and the active flag from the provider
 context.
- The viewer host mounts one provider adapter at a time, no prewarm.
- The panel has a chip per provider again (the pill switches the layer);
no legend, EXPAND stays the Fullscreen API.
- The contract drops what no provider implements: groundCaster, meshSampler,
getSurface/setSurface, nearestImage, prewarm, reportError, the legend and
surface fields of the UI snapshot.

German KhokhlovandClaude Opus 5.5 2b6ccad732 fix(i18n): fix Russian layouts and the gaps the screenshot review found
A review of the Russian UI screenshots found ~90 places where longer words
broke the layout or text was still English. Fixed so they hold for any
language, then shortened where a control is short by design.

- Layout: label columns that size to their text (weather and wind settings,
Recent Imagery slots and opacity, style sliders, display panel), layer
list names and icons, buttons that wrap instead of overflowing (CCTV,
scenes, Bhote Koshi), voice header that always shows the cost, styled
EN | ES | RU chips, voice error tray above the dock.
- t() context: t('CLEAR', { context: 'action' }) is «СБРОСИТЬ» while the sky
stays «ЯСНО»; also used for radio categories, voice states and directions.
- Units and dates follow the locale through src/ui/unitLabels.js
(formatQuantity: localized number, translated unit, non-breaking space):
wind, pressure, cyclones, directions, CCTV, SDR gain, scene timing, flight
tooltip, Recent Imagery dates and resolution.
- Newly translated: directions turn-by-turn steps (built from the maneuver;
English matches the server word for word), HUD mode and summary, voice
card states, radio categories on the globe, CCTV status, layer source
lines, scene dialogs (Cancel, file pickers), Bhote Koshi statuses, titles,
comparison dates and caveat, Recent Imagery notices. Stored data and text
 for AI tools stay English.
- es and ru: 1,885 messages each.

Jeff Blakely a4d6181fb9 feat(bikeshare): add Detroit, Pittsburgh, Aspen and Kona & Hilo
Register four live US systems on Lyft's PBSC platform: MoGo (Detroit, 81
stations), POGOH (Pittsburgh, 60), WE-cycle (Aspen, 101) and HIBike (Kona
and Hilo, 23). The proxy already allows *.publicbikesystem.net, so no
server change is needed. HIBike's centre sits between Kailua-Kona and
Hilo so a camera over either town loads the whole system.

The test checks each system is registered, passes the proxy's host and
endpoint checks, and has an activation radius covering its farthest
station as measured against the live feed.

German KhokhlovandClaude Opus 5.5 3129e531e6 feat(i18n): translate the whole interface
Mark every UI string the unmarked-text check reported (534) plus text it
cannot see (helpers, joined labels, runtime-built panels), and translate
the result to Spanish and Russian: 1,679 messages each.

- Kept on purpose, with the reason where the text lives: provider and
product names, place and camera names, codes and units, dB values, the HUD
terminal readouts, demo shot titles that saved projects look up by title,
and text for AI tools and the voice model.
- Modules shared with the server or AI tools stay free of the i18n import
(local msg); the wind reading and voice session stay English and are
translated where the page shows them.
- npm test now runs the unmarked-text check.
- Fixes on the way: a duplicated radio privacy paragraph, the contact panel
toggle saying Expand while open, the CSS filter mistaking & for CSS.

Said TurkseverandClaude Opus 5.5 10f1986e38 fix(street-level): IC8 follow-ups for Google Street View
- An open after a failed one is no longer failed by the old panorama's
status: only status_changed can reject; position_changed only resolves.
- A nearest lookup aborted, timed out or refused while Google's script
loads no longer sends its getPanorama request once the script arrives.
- A panorama-details lookup that never answers times out after 10 s,
cools down and retries; an unmount releases lookups in flight, and
 their late answers are dropped.
- Every Maps loader on a page shares one script load and ready callback,
and either can retry a failed script.
- OPEN STREET VIEW aimed at the sky opens nothing and says to aim at a
street, instead of looking up the camera footprint.

Said TurkseverandClaude Opus 5.5 76db4114ff Merge upstream/main into pr/google-street-view
Conflicts with upstream's Street Level provider composition and share-state
codec, resolved:

- Street View's switch moves from its own share option (`g`) to upstream's
 provider-switch field (`r`, e.g. `0.r.google-1`); a link without it keeps
Street View off. Docs and the browser gate follow.
- createApplicationStreetLevel keeps upstream's injectable provider list;
its default, once the application supplies its Street Level source, is
Mapillary plus Google Street View. Without that source there are none, as
 upstream intends.
- The coverage hint keeps upstream's empty-composition message and joins
 every switched-on provider's hint otherwise.
- CHANGELOG, README and SECURITY keep both sides' entries.

German KhokhlovandClaude Opus 5.5 13efd411b6 refactor(i18n): key messages by English text; add Russian
Replace the semantic keys with the English source text, so code reads as the
UI does and English needs no catalog: t('Save keys'), tn(count, one, other)
for plurals, msg() for text stored in data, and bare data-i18n* markup that
translates the element's own English. Other languages are one flat JSON each.

- Simplify src/i18n: drop namespaces, the configurable locale pair
(GEV_DEFAULT_LOCALE / GEV_SECONDARY_LOCALE) and its build defines. Locale
comes from ?lang=, the stored choice, then browser languages.
- Add scripts/i18n.mjs (npm run i18n): extracts every message from t/tn/msg
and markup, and fails on missing, unused, placeholder-mismatched or
wrongly-shaped plural entries. npm test runs it via catalog.test.mjs.
- Add Russian (src/i18n/locales/ru.json, 833 messages), started from the
community catalog in #312 and reviewed against the current English.
- Fix data-i18n placed on parents that would wipe their children (cockpit
LEVEL and local weather cells, first-run EXPLORE MANUALLY tile), and a
doubled degree sign in the TRACK ACQUIRED signal.
- Rewrite docs/TRANSLATORS.md for the new workflow; drop sections the earlier
 merge resurrected in docs/CURRENT-STATE.md.

Review of #966: with a Google Maps key but no Mapillary token, switching
Street Level on read KEY REQUIRED / "Needs MAPILLARY_CLIENT_TOKEN" with
nothing about Street View, which stayed off (billing), so the layer looked
broken.

- While the switched-on providers lack their keys, the layer reports the
switched-off ones that would draw with a key already set
(keyAlternatives: Street View on Google 3D with a Google key). The
panel's KEY REQUIRED tooltip, its coverage line and the layer row's
tooltip then read "Needs MAPILLARY_CLIENT_TOKEN — add it in Provider
Settings, or light STREET VIEW to use your Google Maps key"
(keySetupWithAlternatives). Off Google 3D the plain KEY REQUIRED stays.
Street View stays off by default.
- OPEN STREET VIEW moves beside the coverage hint: at the default panel
width the PROVIDERS row has no room for it, so it wrapped onto a line of
 its own.
- The panel gate's corner drag names what lay under the pointer when it
 fails.

Sameh KhamisandClaude Opus 5.5 84f634efb0 fix(street-level): pause Street View details retries after a failure
Maintainer follow-up to #966 review:

- A failed panorama-details lookup now waits DETAILS_RETRY_COOLDOWN_MS
(5 s) per panorama before a view event can retry it, so dragging the
view after a failure no longer issues a lookup on every pov change. A
success clears the pause; one panorama's failure does not delay another.
- SECURITY.md notes that allowing maps.googleapis.com in script-src also
trusts its JSONP endpoints, an accepted limitation alongside the
 existing 'unsafe-eval' allowance.

German KhokhlovandClaude Fable 5.1 e214129e45 refactor(street-level): drop hover, legend and byte-budget cache; flatten the provider directory
- No pointer cursor over coverage lines (no other layer has one); a click
 test replaces the hover tests.
- No legend: one source, one colour.
- The on-globe credit lives in index.js; credits.js is gone.
- Billboard glyphs are SVG data URLs with the same geometry, so tests need
 no canvas stub.
- The tile cache keeps the 120 most recently used tiles, same 24 h TTL,
instead of a byte budget; listTileLayers was test-only.
- providers/mapillary/ is flattened into the layer and its policy merged
into one policy.js; the source's method list is a literal in the catalog.
- One fakeCesiumViewer for the layer tests.
- The fixture gate keeps the steps the unit tests do not cover: coverage and
credit, a rejected key, line -> cone -> photo, close, a keyless page.

German KhokhlovandClaude Opus 5.5 8e5e3cdd3b fix(street-level): re-check an unknown key, Esc leaves full screen, say why a view is empty
- A failed or missing key status is asked again on the next switch-on, and
the check gives up after 10 s instead of holding LOADING forever.
- Waiting for the key status reads as LOADING while the layer is on.
- Esc shrinks the photo in full screen too, before the panel's own Esc.
- Destroying the panel with the iPhone popover open leaves no popover behind.
- An empty view says whether the filter emptied it.
- A freed upstream tile slot passes straight to the oldest waiter.

German KhokhlovandClaude Opus 5.5 d59b4d05bb refactor(street-level): trim dead paths, duplicated labels and test-only API
- visibleBbox: no view-rectangle fallback or grid option; its one caller
 always ranges the rays
- tilesForBbox returns the tiles; normalizeBbox takes arrays only
- viewerHost: no try/catch around adapter calls that catch for themselves
- coverage: counts come from the drawn sequences; no sequenceCount export
- one keyStatusLabel for the pill and the layer list
- no constructor source check, double-init guard or selectSequence /
 clearSequence on the layer

German KhokhlovandClaude Opus 5.5 db9b61dc55 fix(street-level): hover skips every drag and re-picks when the camera rests
A release with a modifier held left the LEFT_DOWN/LEFT_UP flag stuck, and
right, middle or modified drags picked every frame. Track pointer buttons
instead, as main did, and pick a still pointer again on moveEnd.

Said TurkseverandClaude Opus 5.5 ef396655fc feat(street-level): OPEN STREET VIEW, and Street View only on Google 3D
- OPEN STREET VIEW in the PROVIDERS row opens Street View's nearest
panorama at the ground under the middle of the screen, without moving
the camera: Street View no longer needs a pointer. It is disabled (and
says so) until the camera is at street zoom.
- Off the Google 3D map Street View does not appear at all: no chip,
legend swatch, globe credit, layer source or button, and Google's script
is not loaded (the viewer has no prewarm; the script loads on first use).
The share option keeps the user's choice for when Google 3D returns.
- A ground click measures the camera height at the click rather than
 reading the cached flag.
- A chip without a usable key explains it instead of lighting; it darkens
beside a lit chip, and the other chips keep switching, so a refused
Street View key cannot lock Mapillary out.
- The gate checks that nothing of Street View shows off Google 3D even when
a share link switches it on, presses OPEN STREET VIEW on Google 3D, and
asserts that each chip it switches really switched.
