+`src/ui/statusBadge.js` constructs/updates ordinary badges without listeners,
+status inference or live-region policy. It consumes translated text and controlled
+visibility; appearance variants share CSS rather than mapping machine states to

+CCTV source/frame labels, calibration provenance and Weather coverage labels use
+`ui/statusBadge.js` and the `gev-status-badge` CSS surface. The listener-free
