# God's Eye View Current State
## Civil-flight components
`gods-eye-view/layers/flights` exports `createCivilFlightLayer`. Each instance
owns its contacts, histories, model collections, scratch objects and lifecycle.
State, ingestion, enrichment, motion/floor interpolation, rendering, tracking and
queries live in separate files under `src/layers/flights`. The standalone
`src/data/flights.js` assembles the existing OpenSky source and scene services.
Applications supply the existing floor/snap, geoid, picking, sprite, camera,
trail, focus, readout, context, aircraft presentation and render services.
The factory never constructs a second application registry. Configure a source
before initialization; replacing it while initialized is rejected. Model loads
use the supplied asset resolver, including the preload path. Enrichment receives
an abort signal and cannot update a later lifecycle after destruction. Existing
camera, terrain floor, trail, selection and measured model-size policies remain.
